HELLO SWEET PEOPLE! Tumblr has always been a wonderful place for lots of people on the internet to get together and share all sorts of lovely things with each other, from silly little stories to amazing drawings to LOUD FLAILY FEELINGS. I think that art is one of the coolest things we’ve managed to share with each other, and for that reason, I decided to put together a SKETCHBOOK PROJECT!
What this is is a sketchbook that’s going to travel around going to artist to artist (and hopefully even from continent to continent!) for us all to draw in and collectively fill in together! Sharing art and making friends via online mediums isn’t new to us, so why not extend that to the real world?
Once the sketchbook makes the round trip back to me, I would be delighted to make a digital copy for us to all enjoy and cry at together!
So jump on in, folks, and let’s make this summer project a cool one!!
To sign up, follow this blog and fill in this form: over here! (sign-ups end MAY 18TH by the way!)
I’m going to buy a sketchbook that seems more or less appropriate for the number of participants in the project! If we’re a smaller number, then it’ll be pretty sweet since you can all fill in more pages! If we’re a larger number (what a dream!), then it’ll be just as sweet because that means more wonderful art to look at!!
In fact, lots of COOL SNAZZY ARTISTS such as hoursago, spacedrunk, huliia, belugachop, ameru and a buncha cool other folk have already agreed to participate, so don’t be shy and climb on aboard okay!!
Spread the word and spread the fun, guys! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
MY FRIENDS MADE THIS FOR ME I CAN’T-
i just had
the best (early) birthday party ahsdbjahbsd (we went to the zoo and ate a crapton of junk food early on and I got these presents eeeee—)
WHY MUST YOU HURT ME IN THIS WAY THIS IS AMAZING AND HILARIOUS (and NOW I AM OBLIGATED TO READ THIS FLIPPIN BOOK OHMUHGUH—and yes how-to-draw manga books by Christopher Hart are my guilty pleasure pPPFFTTttttkkgg)
really great reference book and inspiration. Reading this easily fires up my creativity~ Thanks Mike!
finally, two sketchbooks with really cute personal messages and inside jokes asjdhashd—how did I even end up with such an amazing group of friends ;o;
and after the gift giving we went to draw animals in the zoo (and I bought a white tiger plushie who I still needs a name) and then later we had a Gravity Falls marathon, so I was able to see all the episodes that have been aired so far.
This day was just amazing and fun and my friends are just so precious—aaaaaaaaahhh
Around 3-ish weeks (or was it four it’s hard to remember); I caught up on the first part of the Dancestor flash game.
Since then, I’ve reread it twice (and a half), thoroughly (1st reread out of obligation to know the world and the characters better, next was to get illustrated music ideas, and now I’m just doing it to pass the time) .u.
